Sergio Arellano currently serves as Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party following a career defined by military service, public leadership, and organizational execution.
Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Arellano enlisted in the United States Army at just 17 years old. He served honorably for more than a decade as an Infantryman and Human Resources Specialist before medically retiring due to combat-sustained injuries — an experience that shaped his lifelong commitment to service and leadership.
After leaving the military, Arellano immediately continued his work in service to others, advocating for veterans across Arizona. He worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs before being appointed Arizona State Director for the U.S. Department of Defense’s Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2), where he developed national and international partnerships to support severely injured soldiers and their families.
Recognized for his ability to execute complex initiatives, Arellano was recruited by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office to serve as Outreach Director for the National Mortgage Settlement Program. In that role, he helped hundreds of Arizona families avoid foreclosure and traveled extensively throughout the state — including every rural region and all 15 counties — delivering housing resources to communities in need.
He later entered the political arena, becoming Co-Owner of The Community Organizer and helping lead Republican Victory operations across Southern Arizona during the 2016 presidential election. Those efforts generated more than 500,000 voter contacts and over 65,000 doors knocked, strengthening statewide grassroots infrastructure and voter engagement.
Arellano went on to hold senior leadership roles at both the state and national levels, including serving as Arizona Field Director for the Republican National Committee, where he led Hispanic outreach efforts, and Strategic Initiatives Director for the Arizona Republican Party. He also served as a spokesperson for Spanish-language and international media representing the Republican National Committee, the Arizona GOP, and the 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns, and was selected as Arizona’s representative to President Donald Trump’s National Latino Advisory Board.
His career in public administration expanded when he was appointed Chief of Staff for the City of Glendale, where he helped oversee municipal operations and strategic initiatives within one of Arizona’s fastest-growing communities.
He was subsequently recruited to serve as Senior Advisor to the Speaker of the Arizona House of Representatives, providing counsel on strategic priorities, leadership structure, and legislative initiatives — a role he continues to hold while leading the state party.
After a year of service at the Arizona House, Arellano was elected Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, positioning him to lead one of the nation’s most closely watched state parties during a pivotal period for the conservative movement.
In addition to his public leadership, Arellano is a private-sector executive and organizational builder with a record of execution across governmental, political, and business arenas. He is President and CEO of Tipping Point LLC, a nationally active political consulting firm specializing in grassroots mobilization, voter engagement, and campaign strategy. He is also a co-owner of Majestik Enterprises, an Arizona-based precious metals and jewelry firm.
Committed to long-term community development, Arellano currently serves on the Glendale Planning & Zoning Commission, helping guide responsible growth, infrastructure planning, and community investment.
He is a former elected school board member for Continental School District #39 and has served on numerous boards and commissions, including the Arizona Liquor Commission, the Pima County Transportation Advisory Committee, the Pima County Sales Tax Advisory Committee, and the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Commission.
Within the Arizona Republican Party, he previously served as Chairman of Legislative District 2 Republicans and First Vice Chair of the Pima County Republican Party. He was honored as AZGOP Chairman of the Year and later received the Barry Goldwater Award for Excellence — one of the party’s most distinguished recognitions.
Arellano is a Certified Peer Mentor for the Wounded Warrior Project and has supported organizations including the Arizona School Boards Association, Arizona Latino Republican Association, the American Legion, the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association, and both the Arizona and Tucson Hispanic Chambers of Commerce.
He is a founding member of the Santa Cruz County Election Integrity Committee and the AZGOP Latino Coalition, reflecting his longstanding commitment to election transparency and civic engagement.
As Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, Arellano is focused on strengthening party infrastructure, expanding grassroots participation, and building a disciplined political organization capable of sustained statewide success. His leadership is grounded in service, operational discipline, and the belief that strong institutions create strong communities.
His military honors include the Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and both Global War on Terrorism medals — distinctions that reflect a career defined by courage, sacrifice, and duty.
